Cebu City congressman Raul del Mar reelected

CEBU CITY– Cebu City North District Rep. Raul del Mar has won his reelection bid.

The Cebu City Board of Canvassers announced Del Mar’s victory after it completed the counting of returns from all clustered voting precincts in the city at 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

The result, which was flashed on an electronic widescreen by the BOC at the canvassing area of the Cebu City Hall, showed Del Mar (Liberal Party) garnering a total of 134,940 votes against his closest opponent, former Cebu City mayor Alvin Garcia, a candidate of Team Rama,  who received 64,348 votes.
