7 soldiers wounded in clash with Abu Sayyaf in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY—Seven soldiers were wounded in a clash with Abu Sayyaf bandits in Patikul town in Sulu on Friday morning.

Major Filemon Tan Jr., spokesperson of Western Mindanao Command, said the Marine soldiers clashed with an Abu Sayyaf Group led by Hairullah Asbang.

The soldiers were conducting road security operations when they encountered the bandits. RC
