Man killed by neighbor
A 52-YEAR OLD man was stabbed dead by a neighbor during a drinking session in barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City past noon yesterday.
Teodoro Dano succumbed to multiple stab wounds in the body.
The suspect, Amorino Hiyas, 38, fled after the attack.
Police said Dano and Hiyas were with other neighbors in a drinking session near the victim’s house.
While drinking, the two figured in an argument when an old grudge was brought up.
Police said Dano was involved in an incident where he stabbed Hiya’s brother.
Because of the argument, Hiyas went home but returned later and attacked Dano with a knife.
A knife used in the killing was found in the crime scene.
Dano was rushed to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital where he was declared dead by attending doctors./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
