Widow of Tropical Depression singer ‘Papadom’ missing

Maria Amparo Concepcion “Teng” Santaromana-Gamboa, widow of the late Filipino musician Dominic “Papadom” Gamboa of the reggae band Tropical Depression, has been reported missing by her family.

Her last whereabouts was at Total Network Research and Marketing, 6th floor HRC building, 104 Rada St. Legaspi Village, Makati City, where she works as a call center transcriber.

She was said to have left her office in the early hours of Feb. 10 to go home.

“She usually takes a cab to and from work,” her sister-in-law Cheryl Ann Gohu-Santaromana told the Inquirer. “She was fine and even texted her son at 1 a.m. that she would be home by 2:30.”

Gamboa’s family has reported the matter to the Makati Police Department.

The family is appealing to anyone who may have information on Gamboa’s whereabouts to contact her brother Francis at 0917-539-9421 or send a private message to her sister Sunny Santaroma Graham’s Facebook page. CDG
