US woman upset over botched haircut pulls gun on barber

LOS ANGELES, United States — A California woman gave new meaning to the saying “bad hair day” on Wednesday after she tried to shoot her stylist over a botched haircut, police said.

Adrian Blanche Swain, 29, allegedly stormed out of the “619 Barber Shop” in San Diego after getting her hair done and returned shortly thereafter with a gun.

Police said she tried to pull the trigger three times but the gun luckily jammed.

“The gun had bullets but malfunctioned,” San Diego police sergeant Ray Battrick said.

The barber and a bystander tackled Swain to the ground and held her until police arrived, Battrick said.

She faces charges of attempted murder.
