Conference on Edsa Revolution slated in time for 30th anniversary

In time for the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Edsa People Power I revolution, a landmark conference titled “Overcoming Dictatorship: 30 Years of People Power” will be held on February 4 in Makati City.

Spearheaded by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Philippines, the conference will be held at Discovery Primea, Ayala Avenue in Makati City from 9 am to 3 pm.

The event, which will be hosted by broadcast journalist Lynda Jumilla, will include speakers like former Sen. Aquilino Pimentel Jr., Melinda de Jesus of the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR), and the three nuns who were the first to arrive at Edsa to stop the tanks namely Sr. Bel, Sr. Digna, and Sr. Eby.
