LIVESTREAM: SC oral arguments on Grace Poe vs Comelec

The Supreme Court on Tuesday will commence its oral arguments on the disqualification cases against Senator Grace Poe before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) over citizenship and residency issues.

Last month, the Comelec en banc affirmed previous rulings of its first and second divisions and ruled to cancel Poe’s certificate of candidacy for president in the upcoming national elections, on grounds that she was not a natural-born Filipino citizen and that she failed to meet the 10-year residency requirement.

But the high court issued temporary restraining orders against the poll body’s decision to disqualify Poe from the presidential derby.
