IN PHOTOS: Cebu’s Sinulog Grand Parade 2016

It’s a busy day at the Queen City of the South as thousands of devotees and revelers participate in the annual Sinulog Grand Parade.

This year’s Grand Parade features 32 dancing contingents from different parts of the country.

Aside from the dancing contingents, the parade also features colorful floats and higantes. One of the higantes was Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey who jolted the world when he crowned the wrong winner in the recent beauty pageant.

Celebrities also joined the fun. Real life star couple Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros, Solenn Heusaff participated in the Grand Parade aboard a float sponsored by a pawnshop company.

Presidential and vice presidential aspirants Jejomar Binay and Senator Gringo Honasan were also introduced during the opening of the parade. Binay gave a short speech but was booed by the Cebuano crowd.

The Grand Parade is the culminating activity of the 10-day celebration of the feast of the Holy Child Jesus which began on Jan. 8.
