IN THE JAN. 10 ISSUE, the front-page banner story—“Comelec in disarray over Poe DQ cases”—erroneously stated that Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chair Andres Bautista had talked with reporters late Friday over a commissioner’s petition. Bautista issued a memorandum on the issue, but he didn’t talk with reporters.

IN THE SAME ISSUE, a front-page story—“Nursing beauty makes Tacloban school proud”—erroneously stated the amount of cash bonus that Remedios Trinidad Romualdez Medical Foundation (RTRMF) gives to exam topnotchers. The school gives P20,000—not P100,000—to topnotchers.

The same story erroneously stated the place where Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez and his family had lunch with 2015 Nursing Licensure Examination topnotcher Alyssa Claire

Anguren Almo to personally give her the P20,000 bonus from the RTRMF. They had lunch at Manila Golf and Country Club—not Manila Polo Club.

The same story erroneously stated that Almo was crowned Miss RTRMF in 2014. She was first runner-up.

The same story erroneously stated that Almo narrowly lost in the Miss Tacloban pageant a few years ago. She never participated in the said pageant.

IN THE SAME ISSUE, a Sports story on Page A22 carried the erroneous headline: “RoS seizes 2-0 cushion vs Beermen.” It should have read: “RoS seizes 2-1 cushion vs Beermen.”
