MRT suffers signaling problem anew; operations limited

/ 02:51 PM January 08, 2016

A signaling problem prompted the Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-Line 3 to limit its operations on Friday afternoon, the second glitch reported for the day.

The MRT management told INQUIRER.net over the phone that the problem occurred at 1:23 p.m.

The management said it issued an advice on provisional service at 2:36 p.m., which means that the train will run only from the North Avenue station to Shaw station until the problem is fixed.

A similar problem on the MRT’s signaling system was reported on Friday morning, which left thousands of passengers stranded for about an hour. RAM
