MMDA issues traffic advisory for MMFF parade

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has advised motorists to take alternate routes on Wednesday as some roads in Manila will be closed to traffic due to the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) parade.

In an advisory released on Monday, MMDA said the southbound lane of Bonifacio Drive and Roxas Boulevard from Anda Circle to P. Ocampo would be closed to traffic from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 23.

MMDA said vehicles traveling southbound of Bonifacio Drive should take the third exit of Anda Circle, to Soriano Avenue to Intramuros or make a complete turn at the roundabout and exit to Bonifacio Drive northbound to point of destination.

The agency said all vehicles traveling on the westbound lane of P. Burgos should turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue to point of destination.

It said all vehicles traveling westbound of T. M. Kalaw Street going to Roxas Boulevard should turn left to M. H. Del Pilar Street or left to Roxas Boulevard Service Road to point of destination.

It added that all vehicles traveling on the westbound lane of UN Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard should turn left to M. H. Del Pilar Street or use Roxas Boulevard Service Road to point of destination.

Vehicles traveling westbound of President Quirino Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard should turn left to Adriatico Street, right to P. Ocampo Street, then left to F. B. Harrison Street to point of destination.

Thousands of spectators are expected to flock to the streets to witness the floats of the competing films in the 2015 MMFF Parade of Stars.
