3 nabbed in Simbang Gabi brawl

/ 12:34 AM December 18, 2015

A teenager and his friend were arrested after they got into a fight with another group during the Simbang Gabi mass at San Roque Parish Church on Mabini Street, Caloocan City, around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

John Vincent Lumage, 18, and Bernie Salonga, 24, now face charges of alarm and scandal and resisting arrest, according to SPO4 Joel Montebon of the Caloocan City Police investigation unit.

Meanwhile, their friend, Jerick Tortosa, 18, was also charged with alarm and scandal and disobedience of a person in authority after he swore at the policemen who were arresting his friends.

If the three fail to come up with the P2,000 bail per case required for their release, they may end up spending Christmas in jail, Montebon said.
