65-year-old female jail visitor caught with shabu

DIGOS CITY – A 65-year-old woman was arrested during a routine inspection for visitors at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) district jail here when it was found out that she was carrying at least two sachets of shabu, the police said Friday.

Supt. Querubin Manalang, city police chief, said Polma Bassal Osmeña, married, a fish vendor and resident of Barangay Zone 1 in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, was being frisked by BJMP personnel on Thursday while visiting a kin, when a body search on her yielded the illegal drug.

Osmeña was to visit her sister in law, Wilma Bassal, who was also being detained due to a drug case.
