ILOILO CITY, Philippines — The remains of the ninth fatality in the motorboat accident at the Iloilo Strait was recovered Tuesday evening.

Residents spotted the body of Shine Mata, 30, around 10 p.m. in Barangay Sawang in Buenavista town in Guimaras, the same village where the remains of her 3-year-old son, CJ Gamotea, was earlier recovered.

Coast Guard divers retrieved the body later in the evening, according to Lt. Junior Grade Edison Diaz, Coast Guard Iloilo commander.
