MANILA, Philippines — Two Koreans are currently detained at the Manila Police District headquarters for alleged physical and sexual abuses against a female entertainer in Ermita, Manila, on Monday dawn.

Jong Choei Jong, 41, and Aaron Chang, 47, underwent inquest proceedings after Ma. Isabel Montemayor, 22, filed charges of physical injury, threat, acts of lasciviousness and oral defamation against them.

Montemayor, a guest relations officer at Club Premier Yoko, told the Manila Police District that she, along with other entertainers, were thanking a group of  “drunk” Koreans who were about to pay their meal when Jeong, 41, suddenly grabbed her and fondled her chest.

Despite her resistance and requests for him to stop, Jeong kept on touching her, prompting her to leave.

Aaron Chang, 47, took Montemayor’s photo and threatened to kill her saying “Patay niya daw ako” and repeatedly cursed her with “Shibal Sekya,” which means f*** you in English.

Montemayor said when the guests were about to leave the VIP room, Chang held her in her right arm and pulled her, causing her to lose balance and fall on the floor. Her left leg hit a sharp object, she added.

The police officers of Remedios-Ermita police station 5 arrested the two Koreans at the club and brought them to MPD.

Montemayor presented the investigators a copy of medico-legal slip issued by the Manila Doctor’s Hospital and Ospital ng Maynila as evidence of her injuries in the arm and leg.

Arsenio Riparip, chief of the MPD-General Assignment and Investigation section, said the Koreans have been made to stay in the detention cell pending the decision of the prosecutor’s office.

Both Koreans may have long been residing in the country and could speak in Filipino, Riparip added. SFM
