GEORGE TOWN, Malaysia — They came, they met, they fell in love.

There was, however, no fairytale ending for Nepalese Adhikari Suresh, 22, and Nguyen Thi Hoa, 20, from Vietnam.

The two factory operators were found dead on the roof of the lobby on the first floor of a low-medium cost flat in Relau on Sunday. It was believed that the two had fallen from the 14th floor at about 9 a.m.

George Town OCPD Asst. Comm. Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said initial investigation found that the couple was heard quarrelling before they plunged to their death.

“The two are believed to have fallen near the unit where the woman was living. The woman’s housemate said she heard noises like quarrelling before everything went silent.

“The man’s housemate had also said that Adhikari had gone to meet his girlfriend,” he said.

ACP Mior added that there was no evidence to suggest that criminal elements were involved.

Both the bodies have been sent to Penang Hospital for post-mortem.
