4 drug suspects killed in shootout with police in Bulacan town

CITY OF MALOLOS—Four suspected members of a drug syndicate in Bulacan were killed on Wednesday in a shootout with the police during a buy-bust operation in Norzagaray town, a report said.

Senior Supt. Ferdinand Divina, Bulacan police director, said the Norzagaray police were conducting the operation at Bigte village in the town when members of the so-called Eric Espinosa drug syndicate engaged them in a gunbattle at 11:30 a.m.

The slain suspects have yet to be identified. Thirteen other suspected gang members were arrested. Ron Lopez/RAM
