After failed rape try, Valenzuela man stabs victim

A MAN WHO stabbed and wounded his female neighbor early on Friday after failing in his attempt to rape her is now being hunted by the Valenzuela City police.

Roger Pagadora, 24, was tagged as the suspect in the attack and attempted rape on the woman, a 40-year-old mother of two in Barangay Malinta.

According to the police, the woman was sleeping with her young children inside their house when Pagadora entered and tried to abuse her. The woman’s husband was not at their residence at the time.

When she resisted, Pagadora pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed her several times before fleeing.

The victim was brought to Valenzuela Medical Center for treatment.

PO3 Joan Dorado said there was no sign of forced entry in the victim’s house and that she might have left the door unlocked.

Later recovered at the crime scene were the kitchen knife used by the suspect and his blue sling bag containing his voter’s ID.

Charges for attempted rape with serious physical injuries were being prepared against Pagadora, Dorado said. Rafael L. Antonio
