We consider the deaths of the Escanos a closed case. Their own family has told us that they are satisfied with the results of the investigation and wish to move on. Even before the incident, the couple had dropped hints to friends about their plans. —Insp. Eleazar Camiling, Las Piñas police investigation division chief, on the case of Jose Maria and Juliet Escano, the Las Piñas couple who died from oxalic acid poisoning.
