‘Outsider’ stabs jeepney passenger

A man was stabbed inside a passenger jeepney on Naval Street, Barangay (village) NBBS in Navotas City on Sunday evening.

Joel Montecalvo, 41, was inside the jeepney which had stopped to wait for passengers when a man standing in the street stabbed him in the shoulder. The man then escaped while the victim was taken to the hospital where he remained under observation.

The police have yet to determine the suspect’s identity and his motive.–Rafael L. Antonio
