/ 05:31 PM August 04, 2015

BAGUIO CITY – National Bureau of Investigation agents seized photocopying machines and illegally reproduced copies of textbooks in a raid on two shops on Bonifacio Street here last Monday.

The NBI raided the AG’s Copy Center and Waymes Computers and Prints through search warrants issued by Judge Maria Victoria Soriano-Villadolid of Regional Trial Court of Manila.

Lawyer Jefferson Ferrer, who represents Rex Bookstore, said the company sued the photocopying shops for violation of the Intellectual Property Code, noting these establishments were reproducing and selling textbooks, mostly on law and accounting, published by the bookstore.
