Binay on a good leader: He must have experienced hardship

/ 05:20 PM August 03, 2015

Vice President Jejomar Binay made an indirect swipe against Interior Secretary Mar Roxas for gunning for the presidency despite not going through hardship himself

In his version of the State of the Nation Address (Sona) at Cavite State University on Monday, Binay said a leader who has not gone through poverty would not understand his constituents’ plight.

(We will not attain prosperity via a straight path which is a failure and insensitive. A prosperous life will remain unattainable if we continue to give six more years to the present administration.)

(Filipinos will continue to be poor if the leader has not experienced hunger and to sleep on the hard floor.)

Roxas is a member of the elite Araneta clan.
