PANGLAO, BOHOL—An American fugitive, who was arrested in Bohol on Saturday, was set to be brought to Manila on Monday to undergo deportation proceedings.

Brent Allen Reeves, 45, would be repatriated to the United States of America to face sexual assault charges in his native Arkansas.

Reeves was arrested on Saturday at the public market in Barangay Poblacion, Panglao town by two officers of the US Embassy, two immigration officers and the Panglao policemen led by Senior Insp. Joemar Pomarejos.

Supt. Nicomedes Olayvar, head of the Provincial Public Safety Company at the Bohol Provincial Police Office, said Reeves did not resist arrest.

After his arrest, he said Reeves was brought to the municipal health office to undergo medical examination before he was detained at the Panglao police station.

“He was still at the Panglao police station for booking and investigative requirements,” Olayvar said.

Today, he would be brought to Manila to undergo deportation proceedings in preparation for his repatriation.

Records from the Pulaski County in the State of Arkansas said Reeves was arrested for sexual assault on a juvenile and did not show up in circuit court.

He has two active warrants, including felony for failure to appear on sexual assault charges and a failure to appear on a traffic charge.
