7-year-old boy shoots 9-year-old playmate dead
A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy accidentally shot and killed his 9-year-old playmate in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on Saturday.
Police said the 9-year-old boy was brought to the Bethel Baptist Hospital, but died while being treated.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

Local police learned of the incident around 1 p.m. and sent personnel to the place of incident to investigate.

Investigation indicated that the 7-year-old and 9-year-old played with the homemade shotgun or “sumpak,” owned by the former’s stepfather.
The 7-year-old was brought to the Malaybalay City Police Station and later turned him over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office, according to the report.
