Funeral cars to be exempted from number coding, says MMDA

Funeral cars may soon be exempted from the number coding of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), reports from the office of chairman Francis Tolentino said on Thursday.

Tolentino reportedly gave a verbal approval on Thursday to members of the Philippine Mortuary Association during a meeting in connection with the Metro Manila Shake Drill on July 30.

Tolentino also encouraged owners of funeral parlors to participate in the “management of the dead” during the shake drill to prevent airborne diseases. TVJ
