Villars eye mother and son team in Senate

The Senate is fast turning into a family affair, with a mother and son team possibly joining two siblings and two half-brothers in the legislative body, should Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar make a 2016 Senate run to join mother, Sen. Cynthia Villar.

“We talk about it, but we’re not yet sure,” Sen. Villar said at the Kapihan sa Senado forum.

Otherwise, her son could just seek a third and final term in the House, she added.

If he makes it to the Senate, Rep. Villar and his mother would be joining siblings Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano and Sen. Pia Cayetano, as well as half-brothers Sen. JV Ejercito and Sen. Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada.
