Binay: Trillanes hatched another ‘conspiracy theory’
VICE President Jejomar Binay’s camp belied on Monday a senator’s claim that his two aides being linked to corruption allegations against him have already fled the country.

Lawyer Rico Quicho, Binay’s spokesperson for political affairs, described as ”totally false and malicious” Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s claim that the Vice President’s finance officer, Gerry Limlingan, and his longtime secretary, Eduviges “Ebeng” Baloloy, were abroad.
“Senator Trillanes’ statement is totally false and malicious,” Quicho said in a statement.
“In the first place, the Immigration chief has said Mr. Limlingan and Ms. Baloloy have not left the country. Clearly, this is another conspiracy theory of the senator, which is geared to disinform and divert public attention to the failures of the administration,” he further said.
Quicho said Trillanes’ new allegation was part of the latter’s “way of attacking Vice President Binay while using the Senate’s time and resources.”
“He (Trillanes) has declared his candidacy as vice president and he should stop using his office to bully and threaten people who do not share his kind of politics,” said the spokesman.
It was Trillanes who initiated the Senate probe on the alleged overpricing of Makati City Hall 2 parking building and other alleged irregularities against Binay when he was still the city mayor. AC
