6.3 quake shakes Japan island
A powerful 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck off Bonin Islands, south of Tokyo, the US Geological Services said.
It struck 248 kilometers west-northwest of Chichi-shima island at a depth of 455 kilometers.
No tsunami warning was issued.
