Rizal Day fete set in Calamba City

/ 04:35 AM June 16, 2015

For June 19, the 154th birth anniversary of National Hero Jose Rizal, the city of Calamba and Celyo Rizal, together with Watawat ng Lahi, the Knights of Rizal and the Masons, have linked up to celebrate Fiesta Rizalista.

Celyo Rizal, the only government-recognized federation of Rizalistas, was founded by Apo Reyna Yolanda Liban Manalo, who conceived of the country’s first human flag in 2007 and the first Philippine human map in 2008 at the Luneta.

The Knights of Rizal and the Masons complete the Rizalista triumvirate with Celyo Rizal and its affiliates under a federation umbrella. They are united in an event called “Ang Pagbubuklod.”
