Suspect flees after killing Parañaque cop

A Parañaque City policeman died while another was wounded after a construction worker in their custody stabbed them inside their patrol car on Sunday night before escaping.

PO1 Adzmir Warad of the Baclaran police station was declared dead on arrival at San Juan de Dios Hospital for three stab wounds in the chest. His partner, PO1 Rodel Lalimarmo, remains hospitalized for two stab wounds in the back.

They were attacked by Arnold Mendoza whom they arrested after he failed to pay his P1,000 hotel bill at Sogo Hotel on F. B. Harrison corner Edsa in Baclaran.–Maricar B. Brizuela with Ariana Michaela Lopez, trainee
