Cops rescue woman held hostage by two men in QC

Police rescued the female clinic secretary held hostage by two men on Friday after members of the Special Weapons and Tactics entered the clinic in Quezon City and found her unconscious with both hands tied.

In a dzMM report, Supt. Limuel Obon, chief of Kamuning police station, said the victim identified only as “Stella” had been taken out of the medical-dental clinic on the corner of Tomas Morato Avenue and Kamuning Road after the brief hostage situation.

At around 2 p.m., a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and his cohort barged into the clinic and threatened Stella with a knife.

Twenty minutes later, a SWAT team entered the clinic through its broken glass door, only to find that the hostage-takers had fled from the clinic.

The police then found the victim lying unconscious under a dental chair with her hands tied. As of posting time, Stella was reported to be in stable condition.

The knife-wielding man was described as wearing a black sando and maong shorts.

Police are hunting down the hostage-takers.
