Jupiter Street to be closed

JUPITER Street in Makati City will be closed on Friday, May 20, from Makati Avenue and Nicanor Garcia Street from 6:30 a.m. onwards to give way to a street party as part of the 341st Araw ng Makati celebration. Public Safety chief Hermenegildo San Miguel said motorists should take Kalayaan Avenue. Partygoers will be treated to a free concert by the Dawn, True Faith, Kitty Girls and 808 Band. Meanwhile, both lanes of Nicanor Garcia Street (formerly Reposo Street) will be closed from Jupiter Street to Kalayaan Avenue from 7 a.m. onwards on May 28, Saturday, for the culture festival dubbed “Tuklas-Sining.” San Miguel advised motorists to take alternative routes.—Penelope P.
