LPA to bring light to moderate rains over Luzon

MANILA, Philippines—A low pressure area (LPA) spotted 150 kilometers southwest of Tanauan City, Batangas will bring light to moderate rains over parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Sunday afternoon.

In its latest bulletin issued at 5 p.m., Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the LPA will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Mimaropa.

The state weather bureau said that the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over northern Luzon and coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the country, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas.
