Tricycle driver shot dead in QC; cops eye drug angle

MANILA, Philippines–A 24-year-old ricycle driver died after he was shot once in the back of the head early Monday in Quezon City.

The body of Rodolfo Pasamba was found at 2:35 a.m. in front of a house on Martin Street in Barangay (village) Commonwealth after a resident heard a gun being fired once.

Case investigator PO2 Virgilio Mendoza said that based on their initial investigation, the victim’s death may be drug-related.

He added that a text message found in Pasamba’s cell phone referred to a drug transaction.–Rima Granali
