Bomb threat disrupts classes in Naga City elementary school

NAGA CITY–Classes were disrupted on Monday morning in an elementary school here after two teachers received text messages saying a bomb will explode any time soon.

Senior Police Officer 1 Tobias Bongon, spokesperson of the Naga City Police Office (NCPO), said the police were alerted at 9 a.m. by two teachers of Don Manuel Abella Elementary School who received the bomb threat.

Bongon said the sender hung up when the teachers tried to call the number.

He said classes in the school have been suspended while a K-9 dog and a bomb expert was brought in to clear the area.
