MANILA, Philippines—After weakening into a tropical depression late Sunday night, Tropical Storm “Amang” (international name: Mekkhala) was further downgraded to a low pressure area (LPA) early Monday.

In its 5 a.m. Monday bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said all public storm signals had been lifted.

However, Pagasa said the LPA, which was last observed in Casiguran, Aurora, is still expected to bring light to moderate rains over northern and Central Luzon.
