Pope Francis proves that ‘sleeping solves problems’

MANILA, Philippines–Are you burdened with problems? Sleeping might just be the perfect solution.

That was suggested by Pope Francis in his allocution during his “Encounter with Families” held at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on late Friday afternoon.

The Pope said that he has a sleeping image of St. Joseph and shared how the image has helped solve his personal problems.

He described the saint as “a strong man of silence” whom he idolized.

“I like St. Joseph, a strong man of silence. In my desk, I have an image of St. Joseph sleeping. Sleeping, he looks after the church,” he said in Spanish.

“When I have a problem, I put a letter under his statue. So that he can dream about it,” the pope added while laughing.
