Search on for Mayor’s green award

THE Cebu City government embarked on yet another program, the Search for Mayor’s Environmental Award, to give recognition to barangays that performed well in carrying out the “Gubat sa Basura” and “No Segregation, No Collection” programs of Mayor Michael Rama.

All barangays in Cebu City are invited to join the search by sending a commitment letter signed by the barangay captain.

Accomplished form should be submitted to the office of Coastal Management Board to get a certificate of participation on or before Oct. 31.

Entries will be classified into three categories: coastal barangay, urban barangay and upland barangay.

The grand prize is P500,000 for each category, P200,000 for every runner-up in each category and consolation prize of P3,000 for non-winners.
