Binay wife arrives at Sandigan for graft arraignment

Vice President Jejomar Binay’s wife, Dr. Elenita Binay, arrived at the Sandiganbayan on Thursday for the arraignment for graft and malversation in connection with the allegedly anomalous purchase of over P45-million worth of medical supplies and equipment when she was still the mayor of Makati City. MANILA, Philippines – Elenita Binay, the wife of Vice President Jejomar Binay, arrived at the Sandiganbayan on Thursday for the arraignment of her graft and malversation charges for the allegedly anomalous purchase of over P45-million worth of medical supplies and equipment when she was still the mayor of Makati City.

Makati Representative Mar-len Abigail Binay arrived at the court to accompany her mother during the arraignment.

The graft and malversation cases against Mrs. Binay stemmed from the alleged irregularities in the procurement of hospital beds worth P36.43 million for the Ospital ng Makati in 2001.
