One of the four men who were arrested in Las Piñas City on Monday for illegal possession of firearms and explosives turned out to be the leader of a gang involved in gunrunning, drug-pushing and robberies in Manila and Bulacan province, the police said.

Senior Supt. Adolfo Samala, the city’s chief of police, said Reynaldo Ramos, 34, led the Rey Burgos Group while using the aliases Poklat, Rey Ramos Burgos and Anthony de la Cruz Miranda, based on records in Camp Crame and the Manila Police District.

Ramos and three others—P03 Magdaleno Pacia, Rogelio Villamor, and Edmar Hernandez—were arrested on Monday in front of Ever Gotesco Mall on Alabang-Zapote Road following a tip that they were planning to rob a businesswoman in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
