MANILA, Philippines–A low pressure area is expected to bring rains to the Visayas on Wednesday but it won’t likely become a cyclone, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The LPA was last observed 605 kilometers east of Surigao City in Mindanao.

Pagasa said the northeast monsoon, or hanging amihan, is affecting northern and central Luzon.
