Cop, murder suspect killed in Navotas shootout
MANILA, Philippines — A policeman and a murder suspect he was trying to arrest were killed in Navotas Saturday morning, a radio report said.
Senior Police Officer 4 Hector Laceda of the Northern Police District and another policeman were serving the warrant to RaymondMangali, the third most wanted person in the Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) area, when Mangali resisted and fired at them.
Mangali was killed while Laceda, who sustained wounds, died in the hospital.
