Responding village watchman, robber killed in QC shooting–report

MANILA, Philippines — A village watchman who was responding to a call for help during a burglary and one of the alleged robbers were killed in a shooting as the perpetrators tried to flee the scene Tuesday, a radio report said.

The local official, who was with three others, was ‎not named but a certain Aling Puring said in a live interview that they received an incident report in Barangay Sto. Domingo and went to investigate when the shooting happened.

The report said the alleged robber was with two others who managed to escape as they shot it out with responding policemen.

As of posting time, an investigation is ongoing.
