5 police suspects in Edsa robbery-kidnapping surrender—report

MANILA, Philippines—Five more policemen linked to the robbery and abduction on Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) have surrendered to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), but all denied their involvement in the incident.
According to a television report, PO1 Mark de Paz, PO2 Ebonn Decatoria, PO2 Jerome Datinguinoo, and PO2 Weavin Masa turned themselves in to the QCPD on Thursday afternoon.
SPO1 Ramil Hachero, the man wearing a green shirt in the viral photo, came to the QCPD on Wednesday and urged his four colleagues to surrender.
On Monday, police announced the arrest of Chief Inspector Joseph de Vera and PO2 Jonathan Rodriguez.
All policemen were assigned to La Loma Police Station in Quezon City, which National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Police Director Carmelo Valmoria visited earlier Thursday.
Also on Wednesday, Caloocan City policeman Senior Inspector Allan Emlano surrendered to deny his alleged involvement in the Mandaluyong City heist.
He was implicated by Rodriguez, who claimed Emlano had participated in the robbery and abduction of Lanao del Sur-based victims last September 1.
With their arrest, only four more policemen linked to the case have yet to surrender to the authorities.
