Huge fire hits notebook factory in Muntinlupa City; still raging past midnight Monday

MANILA, Philippines–A huge fire broke out in Muntinlupa City Sunday night, according to tweets sent by netizens.

@tweetchertweens said the fire, “seen from where we are” was in Veco compound in Barangay (village) Buli, where factories and residences are located.

Some tweets said ashes from the fire fell as far as BF Homes in Parañaque City. SRCS Alabang, the official Twitter account of San Roque Catholic School twitted: “Ash falls in different areas of BF Homes in Parañaque due to fire in Notebook Factory in Muntinlupa.”

@angel_rej made a frantic call for more fire trucks to put out the fire, which was still raging at past midnight Monday. “Fire is going to Buli Elementary School’s direction,” Rejean Gorgonio tweeted.
