Napoles prays 2,000 Hail Mary everyday
MANILA, Philippines—Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum.
Alleged “pork” scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles spends her time praying Hail Mary while in jail, her lawyer Stephen David said Friday.
Napoles, who is in an isolation cell in Camp Bagong Diwa while facing plunder and graft charges, prays the Angelical salutation about 2,000 times daily, David said.
A happy person by nature, the alleged brains behind the P10-billion Priority Development Assistance Fund scam believes that when God is with her, she will not falter.
On Friday, Napoles arrived early at the Sandiganbayan for her bail hearing. She no longer had fever.
But the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology said Napoles’ erratic blood pressure is still constantly being monitored.
