10 injured in NLEX accident between UV Express van, passenger bus

MANILA, Philippines — At least 10 were reported injured in an accident between a passenger bus and a service van at the Bocaue part of the Northern Luzon Expressway early Wednesday, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

The report said the accident on the southbound lane of the NLEX near the Bocaue Interchange happened when a UV Express suddenly stopped causing a Victory Liner bus to crash into the Express, said NLEX spokesperson Kiko Dagohoy in an interview.

The 10 injured passengers of the UV Express were brought to the hospital of Meycauayan. None of the bus passengers was hurt.

Dagohoy said both lanes of NLEX were now passable and fast moving after causing traffic to slow down earlier in the day.

“To the motorists, please drive safely especially during this rainy season,” he also said.
