Napoles’ lawyer wants to see Benhur Luy’s bank accounts

MANILA, Philippines—The lawyer of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles said he wants the bank records of principal whistleblower Benhur Luy to be presented to court.
Atty. Stephen David said this is why they will file a motion for the court to subpoena the bank records not just of Luy, but also of his relatives, as well as of other whistleblowers in the scam.
David, however, said this is not to intimidate the whistleblowers so they would not attend the next hearings on the plunder case in connection with the pork barrel scam.
He also said the move is also a way to find out if whistleblowers benefited in the scam.
“We just want to know the truth,” David said in Filipino.
“Gusto ko makuha yung mga bank transactions ni Benhur Luy para makita natin kung saan napunta pera sa PDAF. Para malaman natin sino talaga kumita,” David added.
