Blazers face heavy bombers

LIFE WITHOUT STAR player Carlo Lastimosa begins today for the College of St. Benilde Blazers when they face off against the streaking Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers in the 87th NCAA basketball tournament at the Arena in San Juan City.

Lastimosa left the school, leaving the Blazers one key player short in their rotation against the Heavy Bombers, (5-10) who are on a two-game roll that put them within striking distance of the no. 4 spot currently owned by the Mapua Cardinals (6-8).

The Blazers have climbed into a tie with the Pirates at 5-8 (win-loss) and will tie the Cardinals for fourth spot with a win./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
