MANILA, Philippines—Justice Secretary Leila De Lima has agreed to submit the “Napoles list” to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

“Since it’s a subpoena, I will comply,” De Lima said in a text message to reporters.

The Senate would also receive a copy of the list  from former Senator Panfilo Lacson.

FEATURED STORIES

De Lima got hold of the list after her visit with Janet Lim-Napoles while Lacson got his list from Napoles’ husband, Jaime.

De Lima’s decision to reveal the list came after Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Teofisto Guingona III announced in a press conference Monday that he has officially signed the subpoena for De Lima to surrender the document.

“She cannot [refuse], she has to honor the subpoena,” Guingona said.

“I think it’s time already in the spirit of transparency, that the list should be brought out” he said.

Guingona said that he will first get the documents before he determines what the next step of the Blue Ribbon Committee will be.

The list reportedly names 21 former and present senators and two cabinet officials who were involved in the pork barrel scam allegedly masterminded by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.
